koenigsinger Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I'm outnumbered as well, just living with my two sons, which is really easy and they are good company so can't grumble - sadly no room for a man with all my clothes etc. - but I can always change that;) you're going to remove your clothes ?
pattricia Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 you're going to remove your clothes ? I do wish we could find a nice girl for sharpsinger(unless he already has one) Always thought he fancied HappyHoosier at one bit, but too far away me thinks.
plekhanov Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 more women, particularly young ones act like men. re binge drinking, sleeping around and boasting about it. all this has just made women more unhappy though. so you don't like the way some young women behave, how is this suposed to substaniate your claim that 'men are discriminated against now'? we're not the same, never were, never will be In what way? why are women above discrimination against men? Who said they were? of course they do, they're much worse than men when it comes to sexual discrimination. look at the women only car insurance company. And you have evidence that Sheila's Wheels is a female owned and run company do you? Even if you did you'd still be wrong as it's no more sexual discrimination that women pay lower premiums for car insurance than men than it is age discrimination that old people pay less than the young. The fact is the women and older people make smaller claims than men and young people so they have proportionately lower premiums. If you object the Sheila's Wheels then you object to the entire basis of the insurance industry. would that be allowed for men only? Yes it would. i dont think that its fair to dismiss fathers for justice. its okay claiming they are "pricks" but direct action has brought their problem to the publics attention. and in fact many women support there campaigne. youve asked for some evidence of discrimination against men, then youve just proved it with a statement like that, because i doubt if you'd have said it about a womands group. Of course not 'prick' is a gender specific term, if I was criticising a womens group I don't like, such as 'Object' for example I'd use a gender neutral or female specific term. Will you please explain how my use of a gender specific term is suposed to substantiate your claim that 'men are discriminated against now'?

pattricia Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 sadly yes, Indiana is a fair old hike, I cant deny my sights are set closer to home Well I hope you have some luck soon. You always seem to have such a nice nature.
koenigsinger Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 on topic though.... women are doing much better these days, but there is still a 'glass ceiling' and it's still mostly men who are in charge, not always a good thing if the current state of world affairs is anything to go by. (by the way, thanks pattricia, kind words )

koenigsinger Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 the glass ceiling is the thing that stops women from reaching the very highest levels in a lot of companies, despite those companies insisting that equality goes right to the top.
Lindos Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I don't think it's anyones world anymore...just a mad free for all. The winners are the bold, the brave and the lucky...of either sex. Loosers? The nice, the pleasant, the uncompetetive... ...who cares about them?

Oh, yes I see now. I think that is true. Mind you the break to have children doesnt help, but a lot are putting even that off for their careers arent they ?
