Jabberwocky Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Wars, disease, terrorism, unemployment, famine, climate change.... Of COURSE its a mans world! I wouldnt have it any other way
Minesadouble Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 think its gone the other way.men are discriminated against now, just as women were years ago. however, i think men in general now have more respect for women, particularly when they wear a little white skirt and heels. I don't think it is a man's world anymore I work as much if not harder than my OH (he can't read this obviously) It's a womans world through and through Were cleverer:D
B133L3 Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 It isn't now and never has been a mans world WiSe WoRdS
plekhanov Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 think its gone the other way.men are discriminated against now, just as women were years ago. They are, how?
discodown Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 They are, how? They actually aren't. the thing is the worlds moved on and women have been quick to embrace their new opportunities. Men have stayed where they were and are now amazed that things aren't there on a plate anymore. Take a look at school results
plekhanov Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 They actually aren't. the thing is the worlds moved on and women have been quick to embrace their new opportunities. Men have stayed where they were and are now amazed that things aren't there on a plate anymore. Take a look at school results I know I was just wondering if mikey10 had anything at all to sustantiate his rather grand claim. I can think of one area where men commonly tend to be discriminated against and that’s in child custody cases, and that is ironically a hangover of the old patriarchal notion that women should look after kids that’s rebounded to hurt men (which makes it odd doubly ironic that Fathers 4 Justice types tend to be misogynistic pricks who rant about feminism when in reality they should be embracing feminism which has long argued that childcare isn’t a fixed female role). In many other areas women are still the victims of discrimination though generally not anywhere near as severely as in the past.
mikey10 Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 more women, particularly young ones act like men. re binge drinking, sleeping around and boasting about it. all this has just made women more unhappy though. we're not the same, never were, never will be. why are women above discrimination against men? of course they do, they're much worse than men when it comes to sexual discrimination. look at the women only car insurance company. would that be allowed for men only? i dont think that its fair to dismiss fathers for justice. its okay claiming they are "pricks" but direct action has brought their problem to the publics attention. and in fact many women support there campaigne. youve asked for some evidence of discrimination against men, then youve just proved it with a statement like that, because i doubt if you'd have said it about a womands group.
angle20 Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Take a look at school results This has arisen partly as a result of the use of continuous assessment; it may be reversed to some extent if there is a greater use of final examinations again.
pattricia Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Its definitely a womans world today, and about time too.
