Lotti
My mum was walking the dogs for me this afternoon when a tiny black cocker spaniel puppy came running down to my dogs. Eddy growled and mum called him back and put his lead on, the man who had been calling the dog came down to get it and mum explained that Eddy hadn't hurt it, he just growled. The guy said 'yeah I know but it's ******* me off now' and grabbed the puppy, whacked it around the head several times and threw it about 12 foot in front of him :( The guy was about 5"10 - 6 foot tall, with dark hair and was walking with another bloke who had (we think) a staffy but it was a little way away so mum can't be sure. Mum obviously wanted to take the pup with her, but had both my dogs and Eddy hates puppies - plus, the men were a lot bigger than her and she didn't feel she had the chance to take it. We're going to inform the dog warden of this - but if you see this cruel idiot please report him to the dog warden so that we can get something done about it

Moonbird
Things like this happen all to often, i have lost count of the times i have seen people kick and hit their dogs in the street, the things they scream at them, some people are just full of anger and hate. Really it makes me glad of having a place like this, we cannot always do something every single time but at least here we can try to address these things and perhaps make people think a little, and maybe even offer an alternative way of dealing with things. Strix
I'm not starting a new thread for this one - one thread of evil is enough for one night We stopped and had a natter to an AB owner in Rivelin (well I think that's where we were) this evening, and he related how he'd met a well to do bloke on horseback a while ago who had stopped and casual as you like, admired the dog, and stated as though everybody does it 'I used to breed those for fighting over in Manchester'
Lotti
I know We're phoning the dog warden this morning though I doubt there's much they'll be able to do I can't help thinking of that tiny puppy - my mum was so incensed... I think I'd have come out quite bruised if I'd been there... I just hope they get that '****** off' with it that they get rid and it goes to a better home before it's late :(
