i went to buy bottle vodka an i was asked for my id omg are they havin a laff do i take it as a compliment or insult as im 30 in 2month how would you react to this. good job id got sum on me or would have been even more embarressed and angry .

To be fair the person behind the counter can be fined for serving someone underage with booze, not just the retailer. When you get paid minimum wage, the last thing you think about is whether or not you will offend the customer if you ask them for ID. Take it as a compliment anyway

Now they're getting really strict on ID - if staff think you look under 21 they have to ask for ID.

 

I never used to get asked for ID - was always the one people chose to get served for everyone when we were 16-or-so, but now I'm 26 I get asked every time
