Allen   38 #73 Posted February 6, 2011 A very interesting read. I lived in hillsborough through the 50's, 60.s and 70's, as a child and through to mid 20's... and never met him. Had to go find my own conkers.... Here's hoping he has many more birthdays.  tilter has mentioned Ivan.....I do remember him. Often saw him on bradfield road always with a shopping bag in hand. Harryarwen   10 #76 Posted June 7, 2011 I have just seen that Walter has passed away, does anyone know if it's true? If so, RIP Walter you were a legend xxxx  It would be really good to get some info on this. Walter truly is/was a Hillsborough/Wadsley legend as said and so many kids - whatever their age, status and bravado will be truly moved by his passing if this is true. A really sad day if it is confirmed. May Walter find true peace and happiness wherever he is.
 Share this content via...
