Hi all, I did not check that it was my ID on the family

computer and my message got posted from justmeagain.

I am blaming it on a senior moment.

So not my posting name but really it was me,honest.

I usually cause confusion wherever I go.

Yes I can't agree with you more they where very happy

days just spent with our friends, wonderful memories.

Wonder if I was the only kid that loved school dinners.

Treacle pud to die for and ice cream that was round

with a cardboard wrapper.

Happy days.

Hey up Shirley

I think you misread my post as the only inheritance I acquired from my parents was a final demand of the Padgett’s man and not to mention my dad’s best set of false teeth, which incidentally are still going strong "they don't make um like they use to".

Hi all,

Yes to Trecker I am the Shirley Oakman who lived on Sky Edge Avenue.

Wonder who you are did you live on the avenue or do you know me from

school.

To Pauline Christine Casey seems to mean something to me.

I had two friends that where a year or two older than me one I believe had the name

of Marylyn Richardson and my other friend was called Christine.

Another lad I remember from my friends year group was Arnold Broughton.

To Mick Coyley you told me that you where older and said you where due

an inheritance, was this crisps, pop and ten bob.

Ha men, just what are you like I ask you and I remember that I said see you

at playtime.

To PK014b7161 Wonder if you also remember St Johns Youth club

on the Wybourn was a fun place to go to listen to records and meet

others.

hi again cher, yep I lived on the avenue.. number 90.. we hung out together 4 a time untill everybody moved away.

ring any bells?

Evening all

It’s Sat night and I’ve just had a scotch or two… or three I don’t really know the wife’s just took the bottle away, after I just kicked the cat (funny, I thought the cat died two years ago) anyway I’ve just knocked together another poem ( in’t it good this poetry lark).

Hang on a minute is that a wilder beast having a crap on my lawn? No It’s just the wheelie bin in drag probably off down to the night club.

Anyway; It’s about Wybourn School (I’m getting all nostalgic again) so have a read and then file it under R, Ill probably delete it tomorrow, it’s probably a mass of typos so don’t comment on them.

Night all

PS. Ah Ahhh, I’ve just sust out where she has stashed the bottle so I may send so more poetry tonight.

Reflections of Wybourn school.

Thank Pattricia for pointing that out.

Very good. But youve put Hick Coyle instead of Mick. Must have had one too many.

Had one to many, I ended up in the night club making love to the wheelie bin, then the wife woke me up, strange things these dreams.

"Compulsory attendance was forced upon.

By rulers so draconian."

Stop now! You're massacring the language!

"Illiterate our destiny from point of birth"

Did you mean "Obliterate"?

Sorry, but I can't bear to read any more! Pass me that whisky bottle quick!

Maybe gone two in the morning was not the best time to be writing a critique! On reflection, I feel I have been a little unfair on Coyleys for his effort - poetry, after all, is not the easiest medium to use.

Apologies to Coyleys. I will try and more constructive in the future (and avoid posting in the early hours of the morning!).
