Dark Moomin   10 #27 Posted May 9, 2007 Well this thread has brought some interest! Going back to the Mounted Police, I live in Woodhouse and last weekend we had terrible noise from a party from a neighbours garden...this went on for 3 days (with short breaks for sleep!) If the police on the mountain had been about as they used to be Im sure they would have noticed the noise and would have responded. Instead we get police cars passing by not hearing a thing. What Im saying is the mountain bike team WERE in the community, part of the community, responding to the community. Which person has decided that we dont need them anymore? Dont the powers that be see what is happening in the community, we need more not less:rant: . SFF  Of course, you could have called 101, reported the anti social behaviour and been sure someone knew about it, rather than hoping a limited and specialised section of the police force would happen across it. jowleywowley   10 #28 Posted May 9, 2007 I've heard they were guarding Tara Palmer Tomkinson, the minor celebrity. She's been up at Ringinglow filming her new reality TV show called "Tara Palmer Llama Farmer".  :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: Thanks for that, I needed cheering up!
