feargal   21 #12 Posted April 17, 2007 I quite often go walking on my own. Just apply a liberal amount of common sense, and don't take daft risks! I wouldn't go anywhere too remote, or at night/in really bad weather, for example, but if you're sensible, then you should be fine.  If you're worried get a personal alarm, and tell someone where you are going and what time you will be back.  In many places you'll probably see lots of people walking on their own.
