Warnock, the time is near.

Recommended Posts

According to the Star, Ward and Lester are both expected to be out for at least 4 weeks and Warnock has recalled Shaw from Rotherham. As Ward hasn't been playing well, I can't help thinking this might benefit the club.

Well P I never understood Warnock letting Shaw go to Rotherham in the first place,he looked lively in the games I saw on tv.Ward will not be missed I think Warnock should try & sell him on ,but what club would buy him if he can't score in the Championship ,maybe in the Conference.UP THE BLADES

I have just checked the Millers website & they confirm Shaw has been recalled, let's hope this is a good omen.

I went to the wigan match on saturday. All I can say is we were dreadful! Before the first goal went in we had more possesion than wigan and it was a very scrappy match. First goal went in and wigan took the commanding lead. Took the initiative. As people say. your team is only as good as your strikers and as Im sure many of my fellow blades fans will agree, sheff utd have never been very good in the striker dept in recent years. Wigan arnt actually that good a side, its really their strikers which keep their head about water, the rest of the team is merely average. Nothing special. As for Ward and Lester, they looked like blocks of lard running after the ball. But I cant blame the front two for the defeat of saturday, it was a whole team under performance. I was embarrased to sit there at times. As im sure most of you know i live in wigan, (:( ) so I was hoping we'd at least win!

Someone further up the post mentioned about Webber @ Watford. He's this divisions top scorer with 9 and if he's on loan then I suggest Warnock gets his ass moving because he would be a very very welcomed addition.

Regard warnock leaving, nah I dont think that should happen. We shouldnt follow the example of the other sheffield team, but that is another kettle of fish. Warnock should remain in charge for as long as he deems right, if he wants to leave and retire then thats his choice but as long as he is managing we should back him. After all who else have we had who could match warnock for character and most of all loyalty and commitment?! What we must not forget is that he has sheffield uniteds interests at heart and the 3million capped wage bill shows that. We should give him a good pat on the back really because other managers would have gone passed that milestone years ago.

Its a shame that we never have much money to spend in the transfer market but I feel its just a matter of time. At the moment its all for the best because we are getting things in place to maintain the clubs future. If and when the casion comes into use we will have a mantained income of (est 8million) and we'll look back on the days when we spent money with care and think, "thank god we didnt do that" because who knows, we could be in Sheff Wednesdays position? If the casino money never comes then its not all end all, at least we arnt millions in dept

Tosh, i know you was only messing, but id love keegan down at the lane to be honest!!

he is a good manager, but he would never join united as he relys on money too much to get himself out of trouble!!!

another player i think we should have pushed for was David Bentley, after all he was linked with us before being loaned to norwich!!!

Yes Robbie. Bentley is a good player, also Webber who is at Watford he has scored 9 goals this season, but Cardiff are after him.Warnock should ask the board for some money to buy him,but thats maybe asking to much mate.Well we can live in hope.UP THE BLADES

my gripe with Warnock is mainly about the way he treats the youth palyers. We have one of the best youth teams in the country but we never give them a proper chance.

1 Ian Ross. We miss someone with a bit of grit and guille in the midfield.

2: Jonathan Forte: we need Width. He is a talent. Play him before he leaves.

There is a lot of rotten things going on down at the lane. Its seems the club is run for the benefit of Warnock. I agree with limited resources he's done a fantastic job. However I'd rather have someone like Paul Sturrock, Micky Adams in charge who may try to take the club forwards instead of thedwonward spiral we appear to be on at the moment.

I totally agree Robbie, the youth players should get a chance, look at Man Utd all the young players Fergy introduced,Liverpool,Crewe. If they are good enough they should play regardless them being teenagers, look at Rooney.Warnock has said some fringe players may play tonight at Wrexham,Forte is a cert to start.

Already, after the awful Wigan defeat, I hear Unitedites who should know better, writing off our chances. There are 30 odd matches to be played yet! I agree with Beastie, better a blip now than a blip at the end. Yes, Robbie is right too, Warnock's tactics re youth players takes some fathoming at times. Okay, the board are half asleep with the keys to the safe hidden from Warnock. I still think we have a good, and under-rated side that could [with a bit of luck thrown in] do the business for us. Let's keep a cool head collectively, fellow Bladesmen...

There are some fans who will always panic and want to sack Warnock everytime we lose a few games. Maybe those fans would be better off following the Owls instead if they like to see a new manager every year!

I still don't see why another manager (who probably wouldn't have the Blades' best interests at heart as much as Warnock does) would be able to improve things if the Board do not provide fresh money for new players.

I agree he should be introducing the young players more, but he is right to be careful to introduce them gradually. Hopefully the fact that Ward and Lester are injured will force him to give the young ones a bit more chance to prove themselves.
