Free anti virus ZA or AVG?

Just upgraded ZA free and it tells me running another anti virus prog (avg free) could cause instability.

So which is the best ?

ZA on first scan did pick up 2 that avg hadn't.

Or indeed A.N.other.

Zone Alarm antivirus is only available with Zone Alarm Pro, which you have to pay for. Have you installed the free 30 day trial by any chance?

 

I've run Zone Alarm firewall and AVG for years, and they have always seemed compatible with each other.

 

I upgraded my ZA a couple of weeks' ago, but don't remember ever seeing that warning about AVG.

ZoneAlarm is a firewall. So ZA and AVG should work fine together.

 

Like Ann says, you've probably 'upgraded' to the ZA anti-virus stuff.

if your getting a internet security pack go for ZoneAlarm its the best iv used and and i have used a lot

I've installed Microsoft One Care - firewall, spyware and anti-virus, which has a free 3 month trial. It's only about 30 nicker for 3 home computer licenses per year or summat after that ends.

I only had the OneCare BETA but that was a bloody resource hog. AVG is better than ZA AV imo.

I have used ZA for over 6 years and had no problems with it

The latest ZA update (to version 7 something) tries several times to trick you into installing the full blow 30 day trial.

Just make sure you read what you're clicking each time and choose just the firewall.

Why people pay for something they can have for free, then declare that it's good value I can't understand.
