Is it normal if your lover reads porn?

Recommended Posts

Yes no problem.

As long as it's not gay (and you're hetero), bestial or paedo.

It is an invaluable learning experience, best shared.

Its funny you should say that, because I saw a programme on t.v. where it showed that Hetersexual men were more turned on with male gay porn than heteresexual porn, although they pretended they werent.Just thought I would mention this. :D

Thanks Bago. I reckon that not many women can accept their partners to look at porns (hey, not just a few porn pictures, but a lot! Not pop up windows but deliberately downloaded the pictures/movies to their PC) I think it's a bit too much :suspect:

I would think if the man was not interested in his gf,

if he would think of those porn girls when he had sex with his gf,

if he would get into habit and even want to have affairs...

Then if his gf discussed this with him, he would challenge why she didnt believe him and snoopied around his PC...etc. Tricky, isnt it:gag:

Maybe I should advise my friend to look at sexy boys porns and let her bf know. Then see how he responds :hihi:

My bf sent me some links to various sites when I was ill, that were alledgedly jokes and comedy sites.

I clicked on one and it was a porn site, I laughed my ass off as he obviously sent it by accident. He still maintains that he didn't know it was a porn site but I like to bring it up whenever possible just to see him go bright red and shuffle around uncomfortably.

What he fails to see is that I enjoy porn too, and why shouldn't I? It involves men and women, at least the films that I own do and its a bit of fun if nothing else.

Porn is like marmite, you either love it or hate it and I'm all for it I would definitely be more worried by a man that didn't like porn than a man that had a healthy appreciation of the female form.

Yes, I agree. A man who says he doesnt like porn, probably has to look at it secretly. I can take it or leave it. If its there I look at it, if it isnt I dont.

Do you realise that not all women uses porn. That not all women know why men uses porn. I don't know about you, but I find talking about something which individuals do in their own time that detailed quite crass. This *is* afterall a public place! I'm sure it's all too easy to be discussing this, but I don't know about you, but I certainly would not go and be trolled into talking into such low-level detail as I did before on that rape thread.

I am not suggesting that men should or should not do things secretively. I don't give a darn to be honest. Cos those people I do not know on a personal basis, and it bears no relevance in my life what they do behind closed doors. I do not *need* to know. Don't you get that? I get the impression that you want some kind of men liberation or other.

A lot of things do remain private cos a relationship is indeed about coupledom and intimacies. I don't doubt that you would not want your private life to be broadcasted and criticised publically?

I have no idea what you're talking about. I haven't spoken about any details of my own or anyone elses life, i'm talking about the topic in general. If you don't like the topic, why are you posting on the thread?

I don't think all that many women use visual porn at all, mens and womens brains are wired differently in that respect, men respond more to visual stimulus than women do.

If she's weary, she should have a snooze. If she's wary then she should try talking to her boyfriend. Making ultimatums is a rather intollerant way to approach any 'problem' and likely to backfire one day.

I'm talking nonsense?....

Have you actually read what was written in this thread? i.e. the fact that the girl is worried for bringing up such issues out into the open in the relationship and the fact that she is worried it's a relationship breaker if this is not dealt with sensitively. Yet, she cannot or does not seem to want to partake in the pornography side of things. If she does not feel ready, she shouldn't be co-erced or emotionally encouraged to do something which she is not prepared to do !

That's me being very directly and bluntly honest about just reading such situations online publically. I feel for the OP, I do.

The thread that you highlighted mentioned that the bf got angry, and it became a relationship breaker. Well...

I'm not trying to coerce anyone into anything, I didn't even make the suggestion about viewing porn together.

If she doesn't want to cause a problem in the relationship then she needs to accept that men and women are different and that pretty much all men sometimes look at porn. Once that's accepted there's no longer a problem, is there?

Because I know that the OP will be bullied into thinking that she has to accept this and that all men are into porn and such like which shatters her own perception of how she see her bf.

In a way, the OP wishes to ask for reassurance that this is NOT normal, and that not all men are like this, but I don't know how to answer her to be honest.

[Added] Yes, you're right. I shouldn't read any more, cos I don't think I like what is going to be written... and how it comes across to the bystander regardless...

That's your answer. You think the OP needs lying too, everyone else is trying to tell her the truth.

Men like porn. It's that simple.

(the same goes for blokes in porn mags, whatever the male equivalent of a tart is)

A Quiche perhaps?

It's a good analogy.

Now some women apparently don't like marmite. But they make such a big deal out of it that you'd think they can't let anyone else enjoy a bit of marmite without being considered a traitor to the anti-marmite on toast faction.

Clear ? :hihi:
