Morsbags – say no to plastic bags!

Recommended Posts

Hi, I wondered if your group would be interested in making some bags to help reduce the number of plastic bags there are in the UK? For more info please visit http://www.morsbags.com

Sounds like a good idea. Do you have any photos of bags you've made?

There are some photos on the Morsbag forum - http://www.morsbags.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=75

We're trying to start a Sheffield Pod (social group to make bags) and there are a few interested, but more are welcome & esp those who have sewing machines! Pods info here -

I now have my own sewing machine, and made my first bag last weekend, sewing is a bit wonky but i am proud!

Taught my housemate last night, and she's very good already. We'll be wizzing these Morsbags out in no time!

If anyone would like to join in, please do - you're welcome to come over, i live in Hillsborough, right on the tram line. Bring your sewing machines, spare material & i'll supply the wine!

I'm collecting spare fabric too so if anyone knows a good place to get any, please let me know :)

I'm sure that if you keep a keen eye on Sheffield Freecycle, you'll be able to pick up spare fabric, curtains, bed linen and the like through there.
