Mobile phone repairs

I gave my 12 year old nephew my old LG mobile, but it has recently stopped working. Probably due to him dropping it though, of course, he denies all knowledge of having done so! He cannot afford a new one and I can't afford a replacement for him. Does anyone know of a good, reasonably priced mobile phone repairer, now that Marketman has retired? :help:

just a thought but O2 turned off all their old analogue services a while back and every one who still had an analogue O2 phone suddenly had a brick instead and had to upgrade, O2 didn't tell all it's customers before doing this either

just with you saying it's your old phone I wondered if it might be a similar thing only now it's LG instead of O2

does the phone do anything when you turn it on ?

I can see what you mean Esme, but (although I'm no phone expert so could be wrong) I don't think that is the reason. Simply because the phone isn't that old - just old to me. It's the one I had on contract the year before last. Also, it started life on the 3 network and was then changed to Vodaphone, if that's relevant.

The phone won't turn on. However, when you plug it into the charger, the screen on the front of the flip-up lid glows orange. That suggests to me it is receiving the charge. Thanks for your input Esme. All suggestions welcome.
