Learning outcomes:

This programme will focus on equipping management committees, directors, volunteers and staff with the necessary skills to effectively manage community organisations. The programme will be delivered in the form of learning modules and ongoing mentoring and consultancy in related professional areas.

Active and Inspirational Learning

Participants are expected to gain an introductory qualification to management (level 2-4) which is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute. This will be based on 12 sessions at two hours each (total 24 hours). Maybe you wish to study in groups, individually or open-learning. We will design our programme to meet your learning requirements based on practical and real examples.

Topics covered include personal development planning, differences between governance, leadership and management and how to apply them in VCS groups and organisations.

The course will also look at competency based models and quality management as well as looking at effective ways to recruit and develop staff and volunteers.

Consultancy and Mentoring

Along with working towards your qualification, you will also have the opportunity to use our consultants for practical advice and support on any of the following issues:

• Work shadowing opportunities,

• Human resources support,

• Organisational development,

• Strategic planning,

• Funding, advice and support,

Hi - Have responded to your PM. I will call you tomorrow to answer questions.

Can I reiterate again - this course is free if you work in a community or voluntary organisation (council/police/fire/schools/charities/CAB) etc - any non-for-profit organisations. It's a great opportunity to get a professionally recognised qualification to put on your CV! 12 weeks - 2 hours plus that assessment - which is tailored to abilities from G.C.S.E to degree level.

There are courses in Sheffield/Barnsley/Doncaster and Rotherham - any HR Managers/Training Managers out there - this would be a great way to bring Management training into your organisation without cutting into your budget whilst allowing your employees to increase skill levels to nationally accredited standards.

Here as always to answer any questions! Cheers.
