Does anyone remember the name of this pub? Freedom Road, Walkley

Recommended Posts

It was apparently at the bottom of Freedom Road, Walkley opposite the Freedom View pub, just on the corner so I'm told.

Would really like to know if anyone can remember it's name.

I've been told it was really small inside, like a little dram shop.

Thanks :)

No that's a bit further around the corner opposite the Crown.

I'm presuming this pub was open in the 60's (a bit before my time i'm afraid).

A few 'mature' people were discussing it in the pub yesterday and I said I'd ask on here to see if we could find the name.

I think it's just a house now & I can't ever remember it being a pub but it must have been at some point. :)

Wasn't there a pub where those apartments are now? The Providence or something like that... or am I miles out? :hihi:

Yes I just realised the Belle Vue wasn't quite right. :help:

There's the Firwood Cottage down there too.

If you were to stand outside the Freedom View and look straight across, it was on the bottom corner of Freedom Road so I'm told:confused:
