Taekwondo - Martial Arts, Advice pls.

Hi all,

 

Im not a novice with martial arts, having done Karate for 6 years, Muay Thai for 2 years, and even a spell at Capoeira...

 

However, I am now pretty unfit. Muscle turning to flab etc..

 

Im looking for a Taekwondo class in Sheffield...

 

Bearing in mind, that I am a beginner at taekwondo... almost all the fitness I had has now gone. I am looking for a taekwondo system that works.

 

I live in the city centre, and work until 6pm every day of the week! But, I can travel wherever.

 

Can anyone help please?

The one in Hillsborough at the 393 boys club is supposed to be a good one, never been myself but heard that its a good one. Adrain Abdulla also teaches Kung Fu and Kickboxing there.

you could try the shef. uni club, but training is either at 5, 5:30 or 6 during the week so suspect it might not be a great suggestion. They do do a Satuday class though.

I train with Andy Hill at Pilsung which is really good. Beginners are very welcome and there's a mix of ages from kids to adults. It's £4 per session (1 and a half hours) and the times are:

 

Monday 7.30 Hillsborough Leisure Centre

 

Wednesday 6pm 393 CLub Langset Road

 

Thursday 6.30 pm Concord Leisure Centre, Shiregreen

 

Saturday 1pm Hillsborough Leisure centre

 

Sunday 4pm Hillsborough Leisure Centre

If you want WTF taekwondo in Sheffield don't go to anyone but Andy Hill 5th dan BTCB (393 CLUB,HILLSBOROUGH LEISURE ETC)

From what I see on the forum people seem to think Andy is just in to his sport fighting...

Well I have trained with Andy his Self Defence skills are awesome:hihi:

He still competes at 47 and is the real deal, full splits,jumps,spins etc

One hard guy and a good mate.
