People who drive, how do you say thanks to someone who lets you out of a junction? etc.

 

Do you say thanks?

 

I hold my hand up (full hand and hold there 2-3 seconds ensuring eye contact with the other driver).

i usually drive out then put my hand up so they can see it

I put my hand up in the same way. However last week I did it to a bloke who then took the **** out of me!....felt really stupid!...is it me?!

usually put hazards on for a few secs....like hgvs do....and the odd bus driver but that dont happen very often!!

I pt my hand up for a few secs, an try to look at the other driver in the eye, often they may not be looking in the same direction to make eye contact.. But I do it non the less, I always exoect a hand of thanks when I let someone through a junction/narrow gap, but dont always get one
