How to get involved in acting?

Maybe someone could help. I turn 30 later this year and need a new challenge in life. I'm a relatively lively outgoing person who enjoys socialising and mixing with all sorts of different people, quite what this has got to do with wanting to become an actor I've no idea; however the question I ask to you is:

Any advice would be welcomed....

They're a friendly bunch and will be very welcoming...
