Sickness when playing games?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

has anyone ever suffered travel sickness when playing games like 1st person shooters

I cant play games like call of duty, medal of honour, Resistance fall of man etc.... because after a few mins i get really bad travel sickness.

When I tell people they look at me really weird!

Anyone else had this?

I used to get travel sick whilst playing Monopoly. I simply started playing as the iron rather than the car.

Could it be that the graphics etc are that fast and complicated that sometimes it takes your brain a while to catch up, hence a sort of overload??

I used to play alien on the playstation and after about 10 minutes I felt like puking, its the swaying of the character your in control of. You could turn the sway thing off but it didnt help.

Its horrible, especially as all the new games are mainly in 1st person mode.

Its as if im swaying my head side to side. I could throw up in 5mins honestly. Horrible! :(

Its a well known problem, although I dont get it (I dont get travel sick either anymore). Most fps games have an option to turn of the swaying motion (look for head bob).

Other advice includes not playing with the light off and sitting further from the screen.

Have you played Call of Duty on line?
