There was a Don Morton worked for A E Evans same time as me,1970,lived up Oughtibridge way, going bald, looked like Pink Panther.:hihi:

Anyone remember Don who drove for BRS and picked up loads regularly when I worked at Firth Browns in Central warehouse in the mid sixties? I was involved in arranging transport to customers.

I remember on one occasion, whilst standing in for the absent overhead crane driver, I caught the hooks under the bed of his eight wheeler and lifted the back end clear of the ground. I'd be 21 at the time and just got my licence :)

Booths Transport Olive Grove.

This may be of interest to someone on here. Found it in a secondhand book I bought. I found out it was taken outside what is now DotMot where Olive Grove Road joins East Bank Road. There's a date on the back - 1975

When I worked at Sheffield forge & rolling mills on Bridge Street in 1952 I think it was Truswells that carted some of the steel rods from there with a horse and cart.
