Dangerous drivers on the way to work

Hi I am so sick of having to watch out for idiot drivers doing illegal moves and driving stupidly just to get one car in front. I have decided that for the next two weeks I am going to fix a video camera on my dash with a mini tripod and record my journey too and fro work and then send the tape to the relevant authorities with any wrong doers pointed out. I do know its a little extreme but I feel that the drivers who take the mick are the first ones to complain when they cause a crash.

What you think ?

Bad idea. You will be conscious of the camera and it will affect your own driving.

The relevant authorities will not give two hoots about your evidence which is tantamount to vigilantism anyhow.

you need to sit back and relax.

i drive 500 miles a week and see it all.

but my normal demeanour is to let it all ride - i dont care if they don't indicate or cut me up or cut across 3 motorway lanes 'cos they forgot the exit to take.

it's safer with them in front of me;although at the speed i drive there aren't many of them.

I have doubts as to the legality of it, and the relevant authorities dont have the time to deal with vigilante gathered information for minor breaches of the highway code, so you will probably be wasting your time and effort.

Try not to let it annoy you so much.

What a tool you are. Have you nothing better to do with your time. Im sure you have never got in the wrong land or broke the speed limit or cut someone up.... People in glass houses....

Not extreme at all. A 40mm cannon poking out from under your bonnet would be extreme....and a lot more satisfying to fire at the culprits than a video camera :hihi:

Let he who is without sin....etc

I take it you've never done anything wrong whilst driving. Never gone 1mph over speed limit, never forgotton to indicate when turning (and yes i DO know it's not always absolutely necessary), never accidentally pulled out in front of someone, never been in the middle lane of a motorway for too long, forgot to turn your fogs on/off???

Just chill for god's sake. You'll end up giving yourself a heart attack.
