Just missed the boat!

My Oh went to the Post Office today to pay his car tax.Yes you guessed it,they wanted another fiver,because Mr Brown"s just put it up.

Still,he could have paid it a couple of days ago,and the tax might have gone down in the Budget.(some chance)

 

That got me thinking...

 

Have you ever narrowly missed out on good things?Or bad things?

Bad things..... Narrowly avoided a a potentially life scaring experience. when I was 18 this woman ( I say woman... mongrel would be more acurate). Wearing a red leather.... "thing" .... that was designed for someone a good 300 years younger than her. Came up to me at the end of the night said "I like your outfit" and asked if I "fancied a shag"......

 

I politely declined then ran..... I have never been so scared in my life.... she looked like she ate babies...

 

I am a coward I know ... Ill live with myself somehow...

My 'nearly' experience has a happy ending (she says, crossing her fingers).

 

I was diagnosed with cancer in 1996 and told I had less than a year.

 

Last week I finally got to the stage where they're no longer going to keep scanning me to look for tumours.

My cancer was diagnosed last Sept,and I had Mastectomy in Oct, and 15 radiotherapy treatments after.

I am on anti cancer drugs for 5 years. Being positive though.

I am on anti cancer drugs for 5 years. Being positive though.

 

I had a full lifetime dose of radiotherapy and 8 years of chemo (including tamoxifen) too, after 4 operations.

 

Hang in there- you've got a better chance than ever before of beating it.
