Happy Birthday SF Knitting Group - A year old today!

It's exactly a year ago today that I received a PM from Geoff to say that he'd opened the SF Knitting Group, the first of the Sheffield Forum groups.

 

It really doesn't seem like a year ago - time flies!

 

So anyway, Happy Birthday and happy knitting!

Oooh, you little liar! I devoted ages to teaching you the knitty basics. It was only your inability to grasp the fundamentals that led me to threaten you with the pointy sticks .

I know I was useless! I DID try though, really I did.

 

The group has had an eventful first year, but its going from strength to strength. I enjoy reading the threads and posts in the group and look forward to another year of them!

Oh my god! A Year! Thats gone so fast! An opportunity to say a very big thankyou to Hecate for starting it all off and setting it all up and doing the majority of the knitting links section. You've done a blinding job!

Ta very much Rooty, though it was your question on the main forum about your baby blanket that prompted my enquiry to Geoff about setting up a group .

 

The Knitting Group has been very much a joint effort for about the last six months as far as the leadership goes, so huge thanks also to beansforyou, who took on the role back in September, and Rooty who followed in November .

Congratulations! To me it looks much longer than a year ago though that I saw the first messages appearing here.

Good initiative and well done, Hecate! It's a nice place to return, read about knitting and get some new friends.
