Anybody from Hackenthorpe?

Padders. When I read deerstalker I thought you meant Holmlock Sheers. Holmlock had the same elementary skills as myself, observancy and memory. lol.

Harvey19, In those days you speak of, Hackenthorpe was in North East Derbyshire until 1967. Electoral lists were, and still are kept at Matlock library. But before traipsing to Matlock, try first Chesterfield library.

I once acquired info at Chesterfield library, although the gen should have been at Matlock. It was the electoral list from 1964. I wanted to see if the Zakes phratry was in the list. They were.

Zakes,

I am aware of what you say and know where they lived at Hackenthorpe.

I wondered if anyone knew the family and what the children did in later life.

Had a cousin who lived in Occupation Lane.  I'm sure they lived 8/9 houses down from the main road. Their name was Sheldrick.
