Car Insurance / male / 17

I have been searching around for car insurance and the cheapest i have found is with egg.com for £1800 Fully comp. (renault clio 1.2, 3dr)

 

Im 17 so i know there is no such thing as cheap car insurance, but can anyone reccomend anywhere cheap for young drivers? or any way to get it cheap! thanks!!

flog it and buy a classic car, or try owners clubs. My Volvo is group 16 and I got insurance through Chris Knott who specialise in Volvo's and its much cheaper than anywhere else. Ypiu might find a similar thing for Clio's

I think its more like 10% off with pass plus, but its something i might consider doing

i got 25% with pass plus in my first year.

 

Or you could just go 3rd party fire and theft for the first couple of years till you could afford to go fully comp - thats what i did.

ive had quite a few dif quotes and the dif between 3rd party n full comp has been £100 or less, nice idea though, i will definetly look into pass plus;)
