Fur is back on the catwalks!!!

I know it's an expensive taste to have, but if you can't afford the ankle length coat, you can still accessorise with boots, handbag, belt, scarf or hat

Now we all know that fur is regarded as unethical, so here's the proposal:

Given the amount of industrial land awaiting redevelopment in South Yorkshire, and given the fact that nobody gives a stuff about the quantity of reject dogs and cats slaughtered in South Yorkshire on a daily basis, or how much rounding up and killing these beasts cost the council tax payer each year...... why don't we marry up the two?

Why should we incinerate or landfill these perfectly good pelts when there is a business opportunity available here? Cat fur is unrivalled in its soft texture (if you exclude bunny fluff) and there are some fantastic textures available in dog coats!

I suggest South Yorkshire is the perfect location to build a fur tanning factory, creating local jobs, reducing the waste produced by slaughering unwanted animals, and putting Sheffield on the fashion map

What do you think?

*sits back and waits for fur to fly*

(I'm asking people to take a deep look at how emotional they feel about the fur trade, and how much emotion the mention of killing a stray dog evokes - before anybody goes berserk at me ;) )

It seems pretty pointless to be honest - Fur will be out of fashion by next month! Then, it'll probably be back in fashion within a couple of years. It still amuses me how people are stupid enough to fall for the fashion industry's need to rotate trends every few years, and change "what's in season" every couple of months or so, LOL! It amuses me even more to see how people are so obtuse that they don't realise quite how stupid they are for changing their wardrobe every couple of months...

Go ahead, waste your money and listen to what the magazines tell you you should be wearing this month... lol!

Does anyone still have a mullet?

"Fashion is something so ugly, it has to be changed every 15 minutes"

Dog meat is actually quite tasty, by the way.

We could also flog their carcasses to the likes of Ginsters and Pukka Pies as pie filling - I don't think anyone would notice the difference :hihi:

Oh you're asking for Heather Mills to hit her with her leg, aren't you :hihi:

I like faux fur, just as soft, and you know that you're not wearing sombodies pet!

:o I love it Strix, what a fantastic approach! Me thinks that should be put in a letter and sent to the Star!, and the council, and anybody that might listen :)
