Anyone else under Rotherham Council?

Is anyone else living in Sheffield, but covered under Rotherham Council? I'm just wondering because I have a choice of Bassetlaw or Rotherham Hospital to see my midwife. :? I'm just wondering to get any opinions or general word of mouth to see which is better. (Bassetlaw's closer to me, but I'm just curious as to which is better / has a better reputation.)

Cheers!

I live in Chesterfield and was given the choice of Bassetlaw or Calow. I told them neither because I wanted Rotherham! My daughter was born in Rotherham hospital and they were great with me which is why I chose Rotherham to have my son. I know of a couple of people who have had bad experiences with Bassetlaw, but every person is different, the choice is entirely up to you.

I am near Dinnington (Sheffield address, Rotherham Council, Worksop Phone number)!

I was given the choice of Bassetlaw or Rotherham and chose Rotherham for a few reasons one being the distance for me, My husband wasnt really sure where Bassetlaw was (had visions of a nightmare journey in labour) lol. We wanted our son to be a Yorkshireman! I have had no bad reports on either hospital.

Same here (addy, phone, council), but we're not far from Dinnington, but I believe Worksop (which is where Bassetlaw is, is closer), however Worksop is classed as Nottinhgamshire... Will have to talk to DH about that... ;)

I am actually at Laughton en le Morthen and the journey, through Thurcroft, Whiston was quicker then the A57 to Worksop. Although I was panicking at the Thurcroft Junction as I went into labour at teatime rush hour :hihi:

Good luck whichever you decide to choose ;)
