Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is up against a military tribunal in Guantanamo Bay. The problem is how much can we believe him when he confesses to so many terrorist offences since it's known that he was tortured to gain confession.

 

In November 2005, ABC News reported that former CIA agents claimed the CIA had engaged in a modern form of waterboarding, along with five other "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques", against suspected members of al Qaeda, including Khaled Sheikh Mohammed.[2] On October 27, 2006 during a radio interview with Scott Hennen of radio station WDAY, Vice President Dick Cheney apparently agreed with the use of waterboarding, specifically mentioning Khaled Sheikh Mohammed.

 

Waterboarding is a form of torture which is used to obtain information, coerce confessions, and for punishment and intimidation. Waterboarding consists of immobilizing an individual and pouring water over his face to simulate drowning, which produces a severe gag reflex, making the subject believe his death is imminent while ideally not causing permanent physical damage.

 

He admit's to all these offences, but then wouldn't you if you were tortured?

· I was responsible for planning operation to destroy Heathrow, Canary Wharf and Big Ben

 

· I shared responsibility for assassination attempt on John Paul II in Philippines

 

· I was responsible for operation to assassinate President Musharraf

totally agree with you there, Bush is the worlds biggest terrorist followed closely by mr blair. they should both be in concentration camps being tortured because of all the hurt they've caused between them.

What a very silly thing to say. Both the US and the Uk have seen many innocent civilians murdered by terrorists. They have sought out these terrorists and locked many of them up. They have also taken part in a couple of wars to help and oppressed people. I cannot think of a single thing they have done which could be called terrorism and they are not terrorists. Aside from anything else we can vote them out if we don't like it because we live in a democracy.

 

This bloke they have captured is probably a fantacist who wants to appear as the most important man in the word so he told them what they wanted to hear. I have no doubt that he was tortured and that the whole process is taianted but this doesn't mean he is "just some muslim".

Umm he did, without a shadow of a doubt, give money to those who tried to blow up the WTC in 1993. I don't believe he's responsible for many, if not most, of the things he is accused of but he is a terrorist.

 

For starters: he's taken total responsibility for 9/11, which exonerates bin Laden of that crime. Now that doesn't seem likely at all to me!
