i stayed in the travel inn one year, its about 5 min walk from city centre and had parking. It hard to get cheap accomodation in Edinburgh. I will ask around for you and see if anyone can reccomend anything. When you looking to go?

Can't help with places to stay, but can recommend a visit to the Castle. Didn't think it would be my thing, but ended up being there for five hours.

Its a very clean, basic hotel thats just off the royal mile.As a matter of fact, the location was superb, you're within spitting distance of the attractions and pubs (pop into the Whistle Binkies pub; great atmosphere plus live music).

 

You might also want to try a visit to the real Mary Kings close I wasn't sure it was my kind of thing, but ended up really enjoying it:thumbsup:

 

Wherever you go have fun - Edinburgh is a magnificent city, well worth the visit.

You need to book now, as it will already be difficult to get a room!

You will be very lucky to get a room at all now, July- September is festival season
