kittykat   10 #26 Posted June 17, 2003 Thats the beauty of goldfish, no walks. They just sit in the corner of any room swimming around. My 2 have been alive for ages now (longest yet - about a year) and they always forgive me when i forget to feed them. Id say they were even better pets than cats but that would be going too far. kittykat   10 #29 Posted June 17, 2003 Yes i do.  I know no1 cares but i found out the other day why goldfish open and close their mouths all the time. When their mouths open, some cavity or other in their mouths raises the pressure inside their gills increases so it air enters and water passes over and then they have to close their mouths to reduce the pressure inside so air is forced out. I never knew they did it cos they were breathing i thought they were just saying bob.  Sorry to bore people.
 Share this content via...
