from a nutritionists point of view if you eat carbs and protein together you wont get the benefit as one needs acid and the other alkeline to digests so eating these together wont digest it properly and you wont get the benefits.

Also, get a more varied diet than that! Eating the same thing every day will be demotivating and not optimally healthy.

I agree with the point about not mixing protein (chicken, pro-peptide, tuna) and carbs (rice, oats, potato) where possible. Fruit is also best eaten on its own.

Have meals that are heavy on protein or heavy on carbs but not both. Eat a reasonable amount of green veg, and snack on fruit. If you're taking protein supplements you might want to also supplement B-vitamins. Eat nothing or very little for 90 minutes before training, and have something protein-rich afterwards. Mix up the diet from day to day but just remember these sort of broad guidelines and do a bit of reading on what proteins and carbohydrates are so you know what foods are rich in each!

Happy training!

Ermmm but your stomach is acid so how can you have alkaline digestion???

I'd replace the jacket tat for a sweet potato - I'm no expert just going by what my husband did to get lean for a bodybuilding competition.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digestion

Stomach is acid, small intestine is alkaline. Carbohydrate digestion mostly occurs after the stomach compartment. This means that a large amount of carbohydrate will inhibit the digestion of protein eaten concomitantly, while protein can inhibit carbohydrate digestion.
