I've tried that website already Steevie and it's not what I want, my query said I needed a website or someone with pictures of Tinsley Marshalling Yard when it was in its heyday not as it is now.

 

The link you sent me this morning, (Google Images) is just showing a couple of photos of the yard as it is now, i.e. derelict.

Most of the photo's I have are all in books. If you type John Furneval into google and go to the home page of the site that comes up, you can search on tinsley and there are a couple of good photo's on there.

Thanks very much Elenac, I found two really good old photos on there, just the stuff I have been searching for.

 

Obviously I would like more of the same so shall continue looking, but those two you have lead me to are great.

I remember running across the bridge over the yards as part of the x country run at Brinsworth comp in the 80s, great course, very muddy but good fun. but sorry no picyures
