Walkers Group Meet Monday 19 March Queens Head Pond Street

Recommended Posts

All walkers and would be walkers are invited to a meet at the Queens Head, Pond Street, Sheffield on 19th March.

A comment was made on Sundays walk that at recent meetings very little discussion took place regarding walking matters! Would anybody like to put suggestions forward for an adgenda for this meeting, or will that make it too organised? Suggestions please!

If most of the walks are as good has last Sunday it will neigh be impossible to better. All thats needed is a 'Good Pub Meal (with no Booze)'.

Aye, sounds like a winner to me

Mind you, if we only talk "walking", then I suspect it'll be a very short meet. Unless anyone suddenly happens upon a "big book of new routes" then I think we might have to diversify a little! :hihi:

Me and Kay will be there to join the happy throng. And thanks Scubs for the excellent walk last Sunday.

Albert, don`t think you`re too old for one minute. And for the entertainment you give us ( quote: "they make porn films at Canal Wharf") I`ll carry you round if you`re struggling!

Just give that dodgy a knee a rest from walking for a week, and get yourself down for a shandy next week.

Just one thing. It`s scubz! - s, c, u, b, z - but if you want, just call me Steve!

I didn't say I was the film Producer or Director.

So even if you carry me round. 'I cant promise to give you the leading man's part'.

It's usually 8pm Carrie, but there's normally some people there earlier than that... some people take the opportunity to call for an extra pint or two, or maybe a spot of tea first!

What time are you meeting?

Carrie

I`ll be going there straight from work, which will be 6-6.30 and will have something to eat before the others turn up. If you arrive earlyish look for a good-looking guy reading a book. I`ll be sat next to him!

We (Mrs Grinder and myself) may try to get to this pub gathering, despite never managing to get along to an "official" "unofficial" Sheffield Forum walk!

What is the food like at the Old Queens Head?

Only been once and the food I had was ok. Just ordinary stuff like gammon, pie, fish etc with chips and peas. Dont think it`d be a place that I`d go to specifically for a meal. More like the sort of place you`d eat at while you were there, if you know what I mean!
