3 TEETH OUT! Any advice?

Recommended Posts

Hi

My partner had 3 teeth out today :( , all next to each other on bottom jaw. It has a stitch in it aswel. He is suffering terribly in pain and bleeding on and off. When I looked I couldnt believe how deep holes are! :(

As the dentist was doing the teeth as she pulled one out all of a sudden she stopped and ran out of the room! Then another nurse came in to explain where the dentist had gone. Apparently as she had pulled, a bit of the tooth shot out of his mouth and caught her in the eye! Then the nurse dentist said 'its her own fault cos she should have been wearing goggles'-no sympathy for her colleague!

At the end of the treatment my partner had to have a blood test to make sure he hasnt got any diseases that she could have caught from it hitting her eye!

I dont know what to make of what happened!

Any advice on care? x

Pain killers and alcohol probably.

My other advice is, don't look in their again (I wouldn't I'm very squeemish) and also make sure he puts the teeth under his pillow for the tooth fairy. My nephew tells me its £1 per tooth these days.

In case nobody's ever told you this before, children's ibuprofen syrup, in a medicine syringe, squirted into the holes, works wonders on the pain front.

Hope he feels better soon.

I had my wisdom teeth removed a couple of years ago, and after three days of trying various pain killers, i found the disolvable asprin rinsed around mouth to be most effective, kills pain almost instantly, even quicker then the wiskey, lol

I believe rinsing with a salt mouthwash is recommended :gag:

not whilst the gums are bleeding as salt water will make them bleed more!!! salt water maybe tomorrow or day after and not hot salt water just warm. it helps clear out any debris in the wounds and promotes healing.
