3 Kate Bush bootlegs that a mate sent me for Christmas. Some good, some grim.

A LOT of Kate Bush this week. Currently on 'Lionheart'. Hardly her best (still at the screechy wailing stage) but nevertheless contains some wonderful songs.

The most played album in my collection. As a 16-year-old back in 1977 a mate handed me a tape and said "you've just got to listen to this". I did and it changed my musical taste for ever. If you're tempted to look it up on Spotify, just go straight to the title track 'The Romantic Warrior'. Still thrills me to this day!

it's difficult to best lyrics such as :

"oh for the wings of any bird, other than a battery hen"

I know the lyrics to the aforesaid Spirit Of The Age by heart. Our lass doesn't like it as it's a song about a man taking a AI replica of his underage girlfriend into space with him, so playing it is a private pleasure.

It was the first cover song my teenage band ever had fun with. The intro is 2 notes and a morse code sound and what sounds like someone's mum shouting, which is what happened when we played it.

After the weekend, I love this type of music. My favorite Ranboo album is also this type of music.

Tetsu-era Faces. Great set, with a smattering of Rod's solo hits in too. Sunny day music.

I enjoy listening to this music on a regular basis.

I also enjoy ancient music compilations, such as those by Karl Jacobs and others.

Oasis, Elvis and Humble Pie today.

Tomorrow I think it may be Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann. And/or Carmen.

Although I love all music genres.
