What music are you listening to?

Recommended Posts

Shpongle - Codex VI. The latest offering from Simon Posford & Raja Ram, and it's as good as the previous five.

miss-heard lyrics

Made me look up my favourite misheard lyric.

Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam.

Still makes me laugh.

Other than that Counting Crows and a host of others as I download on to my phone.

Leonard Cohen who is really not as depressing as some would have you believe.

A Skylit Drive - Wires and the concept of breathing (vocalist sounds exactly like the guy from Coheed and Cambria, so if you can imagine a more emo-ish version of C&C, this is it)

Pete Namlook and Bill Laswell - Psychonavigation (can't believe it's already 5 years since Pete died)

Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys, not hard to figure out why this 1966 album was voted the greatest pop/rock album ever at one point . Brilliant songs like " God only knows " and " Wouldn't it be nice" are still being covered and re- hashed today.

The Chap - Mega breakfast (quirky art-rock)

Faun - Midgard (mediaevil pagan folk from Germany. They use old style instruments of the Germanic and Nordic regions, except for the bloke in a top hat who plays that most non-mediaevil of instruments, an Apple laptop. Get a taste here)

Pete Namlook and Tetsu Inoue - Shades of Orion (superior ambient)
