Simple Minds

Off to Leeds later to see them live !

Unfortunately it's an outdoor gig and the forcast is for heavy rain this evening.

Gonna get wet I reckon.

Just started listening to a 9CD box set called Acousmatrix: The history of electronic music. This is definitely in musique concrete/electroacoustic territory - the first two discs are by Gottfried Michael Koenig and date mainly from the 50s and 60s. I do love this stuff, but it does tend to drive everybody else up the wall.

Great song from a great album. Nobody sings a depressing song better than June Tabor.

Suede - The Next Life.

The whole album is great, loved it when it first came out and just improves with age.

Just bought a pair of new turntables, well second hand, going through my vinyl collection of the Now series looking for forgotten gems, will need a new home for the old decks soon.

Gary Clark Jr.

'Blak and Blu' album and 'The Story of Sonny Boy Slim' album recently purchased from HMV.

I only discovered him by watching Luke Cage Season 2 on Netflix playing 'If money were trouble' and 'Bright Lights'* (*on 'Blak and Blu' album.)
