susiepoosie   10 #54 Posted February 2, 2006 Hi there, I've been to Cairo, pretty cool. Saw the pyramids and sphynx etc, really cool although I would advise not going down into pyramid as really tiny tunnel to get down there and sod all to see at bottom (for some strange reason I thought it'd be like an Indiana Jones set....forgive me, I'm blonde) The museum that holds the mummies is amazing, and if you can get on a Nile cruise too that was good. You should dress modestly when you're there as you may attract unwanted attention otherwise. Have a fun holiday
 Share this content via...

coopster1974 Â Â 11 #59 Posted February 3, 2006 We're off there next thursday on a cruise, cant wait. Â Starting at Sharm el Sheikh, up to Jordan to visit Petra (where they filmed the end bit of the Last Crusade), then on to Cairo, well the nearest port to it, then down to Sarfaga for Luxor then back to Sharm. Â Really looking forward to the Pyramids and Petra, things you dont normally see in the canaries! Plus all the food and drink on the ship!
