saffron club on glossop road.

very, very good contemporary menu for starters and mains, but their gulab jamen were rubbish.

even my dad who is a food snob was very impressed with the rest of the meal.

Not quite city centre, but Butlers Balti House on Broad Lane.

I'll leave someone else to do the "this has been discussed several times before" link.

Get yourself to the Mangla on Spital Hill, just through Wicker, Up the Hill on the Left, not quite City Centre, but a class little establishment, get there ealry as it is packed within no time, 7 days per week without fail.

Alternatively if it has to be Sheffield City Centre, Butlers just off the University Roundabout, up from Glossop Road is mint as well.

MANGLA FOREVER!!!

Enjoy you meal!!

I agree about Cafe Guru food, but has anyone noticed the service is a bit pants? Every time I've been we've waited ages for a menu to arrive and to be asked if we want drinks. Bloomin marvellous food though!

Is the Mangla near to the Kashmir? Is it the same sort of place?

Definately would suggest Cafe Guru, it's one of the few restaurants of any sort in Sheffield where they seem to know how to serve and present food in a professional way.

Maybe this is because all their serving staff appear to be foreign. I guess it is a cultural thing but I still find that most English waiting staff are totally clueless.
