999tigger   10 #4754 Posted December 7, 2015 I have zero tattoos. I just read three articles and beyon the normal music, deep breathing, drink water not alcoho,l focus and relax stuff I did see suggested.  Some artists use a numbing creme http://www.inkeeze.com/, but there are pros and cons.  paracetamol if you have to take a pain killer and not one of the others like asprin or ibuprofen as they thin the blood. Talk to your artist, ast to take a break if its too much they should ahve the experience to know, but its harder if you dont say.  http://www.tattooeasily.com/tips-to-manage-the-tattoo-induced-pains/ http://www.wikihow.com/Deal-With-Tattoo-Pain http://tattoo.about.com/od/AboutTattoos/a/Tattoo-And-Pain-Coping-Advice.htm  rather you than me. HannahSpaner   10 #4756 Posted December 7, 2015 I'd associate the pain with sunburn (yes, I do wear sun cream but once forgot the tops of my feet!). Have something to eat, take some painkillers and relax.
 Share this content via...
*_ash_*   87 #4757 Posted December 8, 2015 I've had an idea for a tattoo and a quote on it. My problem is I can't make up my mind if its appropriate or not. I love it but I don't want to offend anyone. I want a design with the quote "Look for me in the whirlwind or the storm". I like the sentiment and the design would probably be on a lions head. It sort of says even if I'm not there my influence is.  However the quote is from Marcus Garvey and goes on to say he will bring a million dead black slaves to support the fight for black liberty (that won't be part of the tattoo).  Would a white man having this on a tattoo be appropriate? I've read a lot about Marcus Garvey and despite him having many flaws he was a very enigmatic character. (Books on his life are well worth a read) I am also a lover of Reggae and Ska which is where the interest in Rastafarian culture comes from.  Secondly my cousins is drawing up a design for me so it will be individual. Will Van Schaicks in Hillsborough be able to do it? Its fairly arty all in black but with some intricate patterning on the mane. What is their work like?  Can you post a picture of roughly* what you want, and where you're thinking of having on you, so it's clearer. *I think it's much better if someone you know is drawing it, but you've probably seen something already that has the vague outline of what you are looking for  but BOLD, the blindingly obvious here is if there is any doubt, then don't do it yet.  Van schaiks will do a top job...always been there and always done a great job. Definitely recommend them  Steve, formerly of VanSchaiks did a lot of mine. I like his work and him.
 Share this content via...

kazrim   10 #4764 Posted January 11, 2016 try above and beyond therapy in greenhill. They have one of the newer lasers that also do light colours, yellows and greens. I've had 2 treatments with them so far with great results. it hasnt just faded or reduced, its actually being removed. it will take about another 4 in total for total removal.
