Where would be best place to go for your first tattoo?

 

All places can be good for your first tattoo, it all depends on what you are after. Artists have a specific specialised style which they like tattooing, best to find someone who likes doing your specific type of tattoo to be fair.

 

Figure out what you want, then ask around for someone who is good at it, such as portraits, lettering, maori, kanji etc.

I love 8 bit tattoo's, really geeky, yet really cool if they are pulled off.

 

Best thing to do is look through this thread, alot of places have been praised on here, go into a few and have a talk with them!

Im wanting a large tribal type pheonix tattoo'd on the top of my back and wrapping around my shoulder, can anyone recommend where to go for this, i only have a couple of requests so the tattooist will be basically free to run with it

I would recomend Woody at cult classic tattoo in romford (a bit of a trek though) or Tacho, wherever he is working nowadays

 

ETA, oops, sorry not sure if Tacho does tribal stuff, but Woody might still be a worth a look
