Whoops, biro and leather not a good combination!

Recommended Posts

It appears that one of my little rug rats have drawn on one of my leather stools with a biro. I have tried scrubbing it with washing up liquid to no avail, any suggestions? I have until my husband returns at 6 to avert ww3!

You can buy a tube of stuff that removes ink from leather for about a fiver. I've had to use it before and it works. I don't know where you'd get it from in Sheffield though!

Colour the rest of the leather in with the biro so it matches.

Seem to remember methylated spirits would remove biro ink for most surfaces. Try on a discrete place first though!

Isn't meths likely to take the colour out of the leather too?

have scrubbed and scubbed with washing up liquid and it looks alot better, the colour appears to have changed very slightly. I think that I'll glue one of the rugrats to it when hubby returns.

On a different note he's off playing squash tomorrow night, can you believe it?
