Saxon - Sheffield band - can't find their CD's in Sheff big stores!

Nipped into town today & had a look in HMV & Virgin.

 

OK I could have roamed the streets looking for other outlets but I didn't have time.

 

Anyway - I was after a Saxon CD (compilation preferably) on the strength of going to see them at the City Hall last week.

 

I was shocked that one of Sheffield's biggest rock bands are not represented in either HMV or Virgin

 

I've ordered one off Play.com now

Yep it's quite shocking unless you want the latest Paris single. I just order music online now

You should have tried the independent shops like Fopp or Jacks Records. No guarantees they would have had it but more likely than the so called giants.

I remember talking to the Saxon bass player - in that club called "Rebels" that used to be above BHS down Castle Market.

 

To say he was down to earth was an understatement. I was in a band at the time and he always advised me to never "go in for all that twiddly Rush-type stuff".
