If they ever came anywhere near achieving world domination, the planet would have descended into a morass of petty feuding between local barons.

They can destroy themselves by infighting

Or they will disappear as a part of history, when we find an alternative source of power than oil.

 

It is only the fact they have the oil that gives them any semblance of real power, they would have been trodden under foot long since if it was not for that.

Another aspect of the ' Muslim ' problem is that Islam is a much more pervasive influence in the lives of Muslims than, for example, Christianity is for Christians. Wherever it exists, Islam, for good or bad, is part and parcel of a typical Muslim's life.

Totaly agree and Islam teaches nothing that is bad in your everyday life. You have a problem when you say Islam teaches bad things like respect for elders and the young, and not to decieve or lie, and to pray and be thankful to your lord. So simply means to be a good muslim you have to be a good person, so not much wrong with that.

 

 

 

It is far more centralised in every respect than most other faiths, it sees its duty as being evangalical on a world-wide basis, is very well disciplined in a lot of respects and often regards loyalty to its faith as far more important than loyalty to a particular community or country.

If your faith is what defines who you are and how good a person you are, so why should your country be more important. Your faith is you. Loyalty surely comes from judgement of a situation, like for example TB's decision to follow Bush into war and hoodwinking his own people into supporting it. Who is he more loyal to?

 

 

For all the above reasons, a small group of fanatics find it easy, or comparitavely easy, to sway a much larger number . As Lord Chaverly rightly pointed out, it didn't take that many fanatical Bolsheviks or Nazis to influence and/or control a whole nation. The Islamists, in common with the Nazis and Communists have a ' world view ', a vision and determination to convert people to their way of life, its own untouchable icons who cannot be contradicted, only interpreted at most, [ Hitler, Marx, Mohammed] and a largely a-political population to 'work upon '.

World view? How many muslim countries are there? Why isn't there one Islamic nation? Surely it must be easy to implement your theory of world domination by at least getting their own countries under one flag, so why hasn't it happened? Your theory falls flat on face when you look at the reality.

This world dominatin ambition alegation on Islam is tripe, always banded about by the hatemongers to justify their own shemful position.

Look at this report as an example. Attacks of hatred against Jews in our own country has tripled in the last ten years, and is up by 31% in the last year alone. Yet it's 'Islamaphobia' that gets all the attention.

 

So somehow even the attacks inspired by your own racist hatemongers is fault of the muslims? You seem to be suggesting it's ok to hate muslims and attacks on muslims are acceptable, but not the jews. The problem then seems to be people like you spreading hate and the demonising muslims are forgetting that those simple enough to be inspired to hate anybody different, don't usually have the mental capcity to defrenciate. You do have resposability on your shoulders, so stop winging.

As for the terrorist plot foiled, what have we heard so far, any more news? For surveylance that has been going on for months and details of the plot released, the charges are taking a long time coming, and fuel the conspiracy theories if only out of intregue.

When i lived in Golders Green London there was numerous horrific attacks by the BNP and other exreme right wing groups on the large Jewish community which very rarely got highlighted in the local press, and yet if there was even a slight incident inviolving a muslim everyone would know about it.
