oh no, some more demonstations will be taking place

It'll be a rather delayed reaction if so, that was broadcast Feb. 2006... What puzzles me is that it was apparently broadcast by Al-Jazeera TV !

Her name is Dr Wafa Sultan and she is something of a celebrity on US TV talk shows. She is the worst nightmare of muslim extremists everywhere. Not only is she an ex-muslim, she is of course extremely articulate in her criticism of Islam (which she does from a humanist perspective). What is more, she is the very opposite of the submissive and docile female which these extremists appear to prefer. On another video, she gives a leading Islamic 'scholar' a vicious verbal beating in response to his comments on the role of women.

She is not, of course, the only muslim or ex-muslim woman to do this. There are several others out there, perhaps most notably Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who are also fierce critics of the religion they were brought up in.

Im surprised, considering the channel it was broadcast on that she was given air time.

Why? You're not one of those idiots who thinks Al-Jazeera is a hopelessly biased channel, are you?
