Gemima
Yep Lemonpie the rescue would obviously want to meet you first and get to know you before they allowed you to wander off with a dog for the day. Most rescues would snatch your hand off for you to take a dog out for an hour or afternoon to give the dogs a break from the mundane kennel life. Give some of them a ring here are a few to be going on with Thornberry Animal Sanctuary 01909 564339 Rainrescue (Pm Rainrescue via the forum) Sheffield Dog Rescue 0114 2351005
Rainrescue
Hi Lemonpie - yes - we are certainly interested - our dogs are out at Kilnhurst though - would you be able to get over that way? We would ask you to bring over some proof of address - and then meet up with Jeanette. Obviously - walking close to the kennels to start with. What sort of dogs are you ok to cope with, and if you would be bringing yur own dog, you would need 2 people as we can't guarantee they would both get on initially as the kennel dog will probably be so hyper at getting out of the kennel bless em
Star24*
Apologies for not having been over to walk any of the pooches, I promise I will very soon! I've not really been walking much as am pregnant but now the snow has stopped I shall be over shortly, maybe next weekend infact.
