A level plus chemistry updating

Recommended Posts

I don't know any website, but there is a book which I think is quite good. Not sure if this is the right name "A-level Chemistry " by Ramsden somebody.

There used to be a comprehensive website by the chemistry dept of Sheffield University which was quite good. Though, I've heard that the dept no longer exists. So I'm not sure if its still there.

When you say, "go a bit further", what do you mean? Which part do you wish to study? Organic, inorganic, physical chemistry, theorectical chemistry etc etc...

Hi LisaH, I used a book called "Chemistry in Context" by Graham Hill and John Holman.

It's an Alevel chemistry textbook but goes further, so aimed for the top students and useful as an inbetween A-level and degree. A few of my friends have used it for their degrees which required some chemistry.

I still use it for tutoring A-level students, can't recommend it enough really.
