15 pin monitor to tower cable

I've been trying to get a cable with 15 pins each end but have had no luck at 2 shops....Do they exist or are they unique to DELL.

 

I need it to connect a DELL monitor to my tower. All I can seem to find is a 15pin and 9 pin the other end!

Is it an monitor extension cable or just a cable direct from the monitor?

Does the monitor not have a cable at all?

Either way they are available but extension ones are usually cheaper.

I had a monitor cable somewere..

Yea...that looks liike the one....but was hoping to be able to pick one up locally, didn't expect them to be £11.99....

Does anyone know if the computer shop on Abbey Lane (Woodseats end) has closed for good, it doesn't seem to have been open since before Christmas!

Theres a maplins in town and pretty much any computer shop will sell that cable, including Curry's and PC World etc

Double checked...it's not that one.....BOTH the connection on the monitor and tower are female, so the cable I need must have fittings on like the left one on this pic....Both are MALE!!!!
