Calendar news from tonight

Recommended Posts

carolYn hodgson, I don't like her smarminess, and how she does the fashion items, mocking/ sneering at those who haven't got the sylph-like (Skinny) shape she has. when she does that "looking down her nose" thing, I get a bit cross, and want to punch her in the face. (And I'm not normally a violent kind of person.)

Here Here, I agree with every word

I watched it tonight and am assuming that nothing much happened in the Sheffield area that was newsworthy although Meadowhead did get a look in. My main worry is this though, will the gorgeous Michelle gee still be appearing on my television. I like her because she reminds me so much of an ex g/f even down to the voice.

There has to be 'news' for them to report.

What happened in Sheffield today ? Anything ?

Anyone ?

:)

A cat got stuck up a tree in Walkley.

In Woodhouse a pensioner was shortchanged by 2p at the local CO-OP.

A bus was 5 minutes late in Hillsborough and a man (allegedly) grumbled about it to a passer-by.

Given the fact that News has a tendancy to be so depressing, it is maybe not surprising that Leeds gets far more coverage. Maybe we should be happy that Sheffield is not mentioned as much as it would suggest that far less frightening and worrying things happen here.

  • 2 weeks later...

I noticed the other night the Calander studio now have a "window" overlooking the Supertram bridge/Ponds Forge.

Well, obviously it's not a window, it's a webcam. But what I thought was ammusing was that, if it was a window, their studio would be in Park Hill Flats.

Couldn't they afford the rent at Charter Square? :D

My mate who used to work for yorkshire tv tells me the office in sheffield is so they can get funding for being a local tv outlet. All it is is an office a desk and a camera.

I agree it is too leeds biased or obscure stories about betty who lives in darnal and has a singing dog (that level of obscurity). They have more and finally stories than ITN.

Prefer Sheffield forum for the news anyday.

An office, a desk, and a camera ? Wondered why there were never any comings & goings.
