General Election, who do we vote for?

Recommended Posts

Seeing Brown on TV this am makes me think,

Unless Gordon Brown comes up with the goods, how am I to vote Labour?

Tony Blair has let me down something shocking, from the high hopes I had of him 10 years ago.

I cannot vote tory, as I would rather cut my hand off.

The same applies, I imagine to the tories, how are they to vote for Dave Cameron, he is betraying all their long held beliefs.

I know that I will vote Labour, but for the first time ever my heart will not be in it.

BTW never do not go to vote, even if you spoil your paper go there.

The right to vote was hard won.

Shame that people who let bigoted opinions take the place of thought are even allowed a vote, to be honest ... but, nothing we can do about that.

I'd advise you to vote for whichever party you've decided most closely fits your political outlook, but since you refuse even to consider at least one of them, that's clearly wasted advice.

Not possessing a television, I didn't see Gordon Brown on the box - so don't know what caused artisan such concern.

The general election is several years away, and when Tony Blair steps down, the country will have a new Labour PM. In all probability, this will be Gordon Brown. So, at the next general election, all three major parties will have different leaders to those that fought the last general election. I think voters will start to make their initial judgements on who they may vote for at the next general election, once they are in a position to make see what the new Labour PM makes of their stewardship of the country.

Given the excellent stewardship of the economy under Gordon Brown for the last 10 years, I think he will make a brilliant PM.

My question was more rhetorical than asking for advice, I have studied politics for the last 45 years, and am quite astute.

From the record of the tory party in the period from 1979, I would not consider it bigoted to say they were the worst government ever to rule this country, even taking into account the present one.

True, but then the number of people who keep saying they'll vote for the Tories because they like their policies when the Tories haven't actually announced ANY policies makes me think that people don't think at all.
